Our Celebrate Australia event on February 24th was a successful event for both our guests and for the Australian Koala Foundation and Moreton Bay Koala Rescue.
On Sunday, visitors to Alma Park Zoo enjoyed an Aussie Sausage Sizzle, Thong Throwing Competition, Facepainting and the chance to get up close and personal with many of our Australian Native animals. Moreton Bay Koala Rescue were also our special guests to the event.
Moreton Bay Koala Rescue is a local not-for-profit volunteer organisation involved in the direct rescue and care of sick and injured koalas across the Moreton Bay Region, including Caboolture, Redcliffe and Pine Rivers.
Everyone enjoyed a fantastic day at Alma, learning more about Australian Natives and also raising funds for organisations that support the conservation of Koalas. Our fundraising activities on the day raised funds that were donated to both the Australian Koala Foundation and Moreton Bay Koala Rescue.
